Steven is currently out of town,
and will be for awhile. He first went through AIT in late
2003 to become a Combat Medic through the Army National Guard.
He was recently deployed to go to Iraq, but right now he is in Ft.
Lewis, WA going through more training, and soon to leave to
California for final training before departing the country.
One of the main founders of Backyard Junk
Productions, Steven Epler has always had a fascination with every
aspect of the Martial Arts. Especially the amazing artistic
views displayed through martial arts choreography. His main
role model growing up was Bruce Lee, and over the years he's
looked in aspiration to such actors/martial artists as Jackie
Chan, Jet Li, and Donnie Yen. With a wide variety of martial
arts background including ten years of Isshin Ryu Karate (since he
was nine) and various lessons in Judo, Jiu Jutsu, Tae Kwon Do,
Aikido, Taichi, and Muay Thai, Steven brings a heavy arsenal of
techniques and imagination to our action choreography. Being
one of the main choreographers, writers, and actors, Steven has
enjoyed hanging out with his friends, and most of all, spending
quality time with his brother while they produce their final
productions.
Born October 17th, 1983, Steven has dreamed
of one day owning a dojo and perhaps starring in a couple of his
brother's films when he makes it big.
One of Steven's favorite sayings is, "I
know a lot of a little, and a little of a lot."
Look out for this guy's name. He'll be
big someday, and you'll wanna be able to say that you saw him
first here, at byjproductions.com.
