We decided to use bokkens, wooden katanas, for our big project coming up.  This is mainly because we really didn't want to ruin our live bladed swords by having to grind the edges and blunt the tips.  So, Steven had to decide how to make our movie interesting while using wooden swords, and what he came up with was a style known as Bokken chijutsu.  The concept is derived from the Anime: DEMON CITY SHINJUKU, where upon the practitioner can use his Chi, or internal life energy, to empower his bokken for special attacks.  With a combination of Steven’s choreography/scripting, Bryan’s computer skills and cinematography, along with the hard work and dedication of the rest of the team (Nathan, Josh, Wayne, Kevin) we should bring to you a visual masterpiece, at least by our standards.  Thank you for visiting and welcome to our world…

Most of this film will be viewed in flashbacks and the story told in narration.  The story starts with the telling of how our main characters came to meet.  They studied the art of Bokken chijutsu from a wise Master (Robert Lim).  Nick (Steven Epler) joins the Master and his son Kai (Wayne Blair) and soon to join them Eric (Josh McKenzie).  The film is centered upon these three individuals and it is the telling of their lives, the hardships they’ve come to endure and the choices they’re soon to face.

Nick was an orphan, his parents died when he was very young and shortly thereafter the great Master accepted him into his school.  Kai, the Master’s only son, soon envied his “adopted” brother, as all the skills seemed to come so easily to him.  After Eric joined the other two he became best friends with Nick.  The three disciples grew together and the bond between them became one of family.

Kai, Nick and Eric had natural talent in the ways of the warrior.  Though it’s true one of the three fell a bit behind the others at times, they were all destined for battlefield prowess.  Warriors span a wide array of moral standing and this too shows in their battle tactics.  Warriors were meant to fight and gentlemen to be gentle; these men have always been and will forever be—warriors.

The three, through their training in the art of Bokken chijutsu, learned how to harness their inner powers, their inner strength.  By channeling their chi, these students could attack with tremendous force creating such effects as slicing through objects beyond physical reach, call upon powers beyond the knowledge of most mortals and with enough power explode physical objects.

Life leads to many paths and no two people walk the same path in the same manner.  As our Students grow and their talent becomes inherent, their Master no longer has anything more to teach them.  As they go their separate ways the Master bestows upon them the telling of an orb of incredible power, a power that will enable its possessor to tap into the powers mortal men were not suppose to have.  The Students set off on their different paths in life, leading them all to very different choices.  One becomes master, one finds love, one finds desire… but who finds them…

Great tragedy befalls them all, but was this fate or was this foul play?  A stranger crosses three paths and Lives are forever changed.  The only choice left is one they swore never to make.  A lifetime of training for one fateful day, one fateful moment, one fatal strike…
